Great Success of Adizes Associate Bo Jaghult

Bo really did it! He swam across Lake Malaren!
There was a heavy wind across Lake Malaren when Bo Jaghult started to swim across the lake; yet he handled the waves skillfully.

Bo started at 8:30am on July 26, and finally arrived ashore at 10:15 pm after 13 hours and 45 minutes of swimming for over 8 miles and for nearly 14 hours in water at 18 degrees Celsius (about 64 Fahrenheit), from Sunbyholm to Vasteras (about 18 miles). Aproximatelly half of the journey had to be covered by walking over islands and the other half of the trip was swimming.

The purpose of Bo’s heroic step was to honor his father who died of Parkinson’s Disease and to raise money for Parkinson’s research. The result so far is 48.000 ($7.500) from friends.

The Parkinson’s research will recieve 50.000 Swedish kronor ($7-8000) in honor of Bo’s father.

One way to cross Lake Malaren

Thank you all who have been helpful. First all of you who have financially supported the Parkinson’s Research, but also all of you who have been morally supportive with your enthusiasm during this event.
As you can see from this report, it was an adventure, but is had a happy ending.
Take care Bo!"
