A Reportage From the Recently Held BTP Seminar

The latest BTP seminar was held from 26 - 28 March 2007 in the newly re-opened “Pacifica” Center in Santa Barbara

The Breaktrhough to Prime (BTP) seminar presents foundations of the Adizes methodology, such as CAPI (Coalesced Authority, Power and Influence), PAEI (managerial roles and styles), the Lifecycle of organizations, and the power of mutual trust and respect. The last week of March saw attendees from as far a field as Denmark, British Columbia, The Netherlands, Brazil, Texas, South Dakota, California, and Australia come together in Santa Barbara to learn about these foundational concepts.

In wonderful illustration of the PAEI styles and differing perspectives, our participants represented diverse views, experience and needs for application of the concepts. When all was said and done most left with ideas they could implement, deeper understanding of their work colleagues’ perspectives, profound “a-ha’s” about problems their organization was experiencing, and insight about the likely place on the Lifecycle their organization occupied. They also provided highly useful feedback on the delivery of the seminar.

The program, jointly delivered by Sunil Dovedy (Senior Associate and President Adizes USA) and Kimberly dela Cruz Odom (Adjunct Associate, Australia) had varying levels of lectures, group exercises and interaction, including a revealing and humorous whole-of-group role play.

Given the changing needs of our participants we have incorporated the feedback and made the program even more activity and application based. Now a workshop, instead of a seminar, will mean participants will have more case study evaluation, individual and group exercises, practical practice of some of the concepts, conversations about examples in the current marketplace, and self reflection and group dialogue about what is working in their own organizations.

The participant feedback ensures evolving delivery and an enhanced learning experience for all.
If you work for an organization as a key executive or manager in industry or government; lead an organization, a corporation or public agency; lead a team with varied components and projects either in the profit or non-profit sector; are looking for innovative and revolutionary managerial approaches, this program represents an opportunity to understand how to take your organization to the next level, to have your enterprise, company or team perform at the highest levels in the marketplace. Join us at the next program!
