CEEMAN Executive Education Workshop
"Executive Education in Transition and Dynamically Changing Economies:
Key Issues and Possible Synergies"

A CEEMAN Workshop on “Executive Education in Transition and Dynamically Changing Economies: Key Issues and Possible Synergies” will be held on 27-29 June 2007 in Tallinn, Estonia. The host institution is the Estonian Business School (EBS).

Based on the initiative of the Estonian Business School, which is supported by several other CEEMAN member institutions, CEEMAN has decided to develop a new platform to serve its members and other management development institutions involved and/or interested in the expansion of executive education in transition and dynamically changing economies. |
The objectives of the First CEEMAN ExEd Workshop are twofold:
- To enable CEEMAN member institutions to come together to discuss the major issues and challenges related to executive education in transition and dynamically changing environments
- To establish a network of people involved in executive education who would continue to meet regularly to discuss issues of common interest, identify possible synergies, and suggest ways and means on how these synergies could be achieved.
The workshop is intended for CEEMAN members already involved or interested in executive education as well as for non-members interested in offering executive education programs or in building new partnerships and alliances.
In order to achieve this, the workshop will include:
- Mapping of executive education offerings within CEEMAN
- Identification of key issues and possible synergies
- Recommendations on how business schools could most effectively respond to changing executive education needs
- Suggestions on how the future CEEMAN ExEd platform can help (follow-up activities and topics for future ExEd Workshops)
The CEEMAN ExED Workshop will be formatted as a unique mix of presentations, networking, and break-outs, including those organized in a World Café setting, to share information, case examples, and best practices.
They will be guided by specially tailored questions, which will enable the participants to proactively shape the discussions, introduce their own topics, and create results together. The First CEEMAN ExEd Workshop will be facilitated by an experienced moderator, coach, consultant, and author, Uwe Weissflog, Pathway Guidance, Germany. Other speakers include Priit Poldoja, Managing Director of Hansabank Estonia, Danica Purg, President of CEEMAN and Dean and Director of the IEDC-Bled School of Management, Slovenia, and Bob Stilliard, Director of Executive Education and a member of the Ashridge Management Committee, Ashridge, UK. |
