Dr. Ichak Adizes Promoted to Honorary Lieutenant Colonel
In April 2012, Dr. Ichak Adizes was honored by the Israeli Defense Forces for his work with the Israeli National Defense College and was granted the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel. The rank of Major was the highest honorary rank ever granted to a civilian prior to this; a distinction that Dr. Adizes received in 2007. The ceremony was officiated by Major General Orna Barbivai , Head of the Manpower Directorate, Major General Gershon Hacohen, Commander of the Northern Corps, and Major General Yossi Baidatz, Commander of Military Academies.
Dr. Adizes annually provides his services as a lecturer and trainer to the Israeli National Defense College, in appreciation to the country that welcomed him and his family after WWII. There, he works with top military personnel and civil servants who are in line for promotions. Included in this group are ambassadors, heads of ministries, the chief of police, and colonels that are up for promotion to generals. “This is a very important program,” says Dr. Adizes, “because the graduates are the future leaders of the country.”

Dr. Adizes Meets with the President of the Russian Federation
On February 21st, 2012, Dr. Ichak Kalderon Adizes was received, by the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev, at his residence for an hour-long exchange of ideas. Mr. Medvedev demonstrated knowledge of the Adizes methodology; he shared with Dr. Adizes that he had read his book, The Ideal Executive, and watched a video of his lecture in Moscow.

From January 10 through January 14, thirty-three Adizes Network Members from around the world convened at the Adizes Institute International Headquarters in Santa Barbara for a series of bi-annual managerial meetings, a Colloquium and a Lecturer’s Training with Dr. Adizes. “It has provided a wonderful opportunity to meet more of our network and also reconnect with those Associates who are
far away, “said Demelza Benton, staff member at the Institute.
One of the highlights of the event was the certification of four new associates: Oleksiy Kapusta, Viktoria Kucherchuk, and Pavel Miroshnik all from Ukraine, and Mirko Music from Slovenia.
The Lecturer’s Training was an optional activity in which twenty four people participated. Dr Adizes shared his best practices for how to lecture the Adizes methodology with the participants.

Adizes Southeast Europe Teams Up with USAID
USAID, the US government agency that provides U.S. economic and humanitarian assistance worldwide, celebrated its 10th anniversary in Serbia. In attendance was Boris Vukic, Adizes associate from the Adizes Southeast Europe office. Over the years, Boris has supported USAID’s efforts and is collaborating on a project with them to help companies who are transitioning leadership from founders to their successors. Boris, who is well known for his expertise in this area, will be facilitating a workshop where participants will prepare a plan that outlines the steps needed for a successful transition.
Dr. Adizes Delivers Back to Back Lectures, Reaching over 900 People
Dr. Adizes arrived in Southeast Europe the week of January 23, 2012.With engagements scheduled back-to-back, Dr. Adizes shared his experience and knowledge with more than 900 people over the week.
On Tuesday, January 24, 2012, an excess of 300 business leaders gathered in Kiev, Ukraine to listen to Dr. Adizes speak about “Predicting Future Problems Today-the Lifecycle of Organizations”.
Subsequently, Dr. Adizes traveled to St. Petersburg, Russia where on, January 27, 2012, Dr. Adizes delivered a lecture to over 600 regional business leaders. The title of was “Composing Your Management Team for High Performance”.
Dr. Adizes presentations garnered many accolades.
Sunil Dovedy Promoted to Principal Associate

Sunil Dovedy was unanimously voted by the CMD and of the Professional Council, in a joint session on January 11, 2012 to be promoted from Senior Associate to Principal Associate of the Adizes Institute.
Sunil is certified in a number of the Adizes Phases. He has successfully led the Clinic Department of the Institute over several years and also served as the Professional Director for Mexico. In addition, he is a highly regarded member of the Executive Committee.

University Students Benefit from Adizes Experts
Adizes is gradually becoming part of many universities’ graduate curriculum.
Virginijus Kundrotas, the Adizes Vice President for Western Europe and the Baltic States, recently finished teaching a course on Corporate Responsibility in the graduate program at the university in Kaunas, Lithuania. Using the Adizes Methodology as a basis, students prepared group projects on the analysis of a company commenting on where the company was on its life cycle, what managerial style the CEO had, and the level of mutual trust and respect inside the organization.
At the University of Sarajevo, Nebojsa Caric, manager of Adizes Business Consulting, was a guest lecturer in the School of Economics and Business. He instructed the students on Corporate Lifecycles and Adizes Organizational Therapy.
Adizes Institute India Provides Tools to a Fast Growing Economy
The Indian Economy has been experiencing rapid growth and innovation. Through independent and collaborative efforts with other organizations, the Adizes Institute in India is helping address the change that industries in the country are experiencing.
In January, the Institute teamed up with the Confederation of Indian Industry, and hosted a webinar for 25 companies in which the participants were introduced to the Adizes Methodology.
Harsh Chopra, Adizes Country Manager for India, also delivered a presentation entitled, “Successful Entrepreneurship: Scale Up to Full Potential” to approximately 100 business leaders at the CEO Knowledge Forum, in Bangalore, India. The purpose of the forum was to provide CEOs, Entrepreneurs and Promoters the opportunity to sharpen their business strategies, and focus on widening their understanding of key areas such as finance, marketing, leadership, and technology.The event was organized by ICICI Bank, India’s largest private sector bank, and 9dot9, a media company, for their customers.
Subsequent to his presentation at the forum, Harsh was interviewed by Srishti Malasi, from THF Digital- The Human Factor, where he discussed how “destructive internal conflict is holding India back.” He suggested methods of dealing with it along with ways of building a culture of mutual trust and respect. Central American Business Community Treated to Seminar on Accountability
In an exclusive engagement, Adizes Southeast Europe office manager, Zvezdan Horvat, provided the Central American business community with a seminar on Accountability. The seminar was held during the week of January 16, 2012, in El Salvador. Thirty leaders from small to medium-sized businesses participated. Some of the issues that were addressed were how to balance a tight budget while developing new products, and communicating effectively to all stakeholders. The event was a hosted by Adizes Central America.
